Meet the team –  Louise Ravenscroft 

Louise is a Senior Associate in DWF's Regulatory, Compliance and Investigations Team, based in the Birmingham office, having joined us in the autumn of 2024.

 

Louise is an experienced regulatory and police law advocate having represented a number of police forces in operational and police misconduct proceedings. Louise qualified as a criminal defence solicitor and military law specialist in 2009 before joining Hampshire Constabulary’s in-house legal team.

 

Louise has a wealth of prosecution experience, having presented cased on behalf of various police forces, local authorities, Royal Mail, the Marine Fisheries Agency and a number of regulatory bodies including Social Work England and the Teaching Regulation Agency. Louise also has experience at representing emergency services at inquests, handling sensitive and high-profile cases whilst managing challenging disclosure issues, achieving successful outcomes on behalf of her clients.

 

In our team, Louise works closely with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency as their reviewing prosecuting lawyer for criminal cases, as well as representing HM Coastguard at inquests. In addition, Louise acts on behalf of local authorities, private clients and the Ministry of Justice.  

 

Louise is a Legally Qualified Person for police misconduct proceedings across five of the East Midlands police forces.
