Meet the team – Anna Blythe 

Anna Blythe is an Associate in the Regulatory, Compliance and Investigations team based in our Manchester office. She has built a strong reputation for her work on Public Inquiries and within Education Law, particularly in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). Anna is a key member of the team’s expanding public‑sector practice and is recognised for her clear, pragmatic advice on complex, sensitive matters.

 

Public inquiry

Anna has extensive experience advising across all aspects of public inquiry work. She acts for a broad range of clients, including Solicitors to the Inquiry, Core Participants and Material Providers, and is adept at managing large‑scale disclosure exercises, advising on procedural fairness, and supporting clients through high‑profile and often challenging proceedings. She is a trusted advisor to public bodies and companies responding to the demands and scrutiny of statutory inquiries.

 

Education Law and SEND

Alongside her inquiries practice, Anna regularly represents local authorities and education providers in SEND Tribunal matters, including contested EHCP appeals and disability discrimination claims. Her detailed understanding of the education landscape enables her to deliver strategic, sector‑informed advice across both contentious and non‑contentious issues, including safeguarding and crisis response, as well as suicide cases.

 

Crisis Response

Anna is also a core member of the firm’s award‑winning Crisis Response Service. She provides responsive and strategic support to clients facing incidents and emergencies, including health and safety events, fatalities, and reputational risk. Her work spans immediate incident management, coronial representation, media guidance and employee wellbeing considerations, helping clients navigate the full lifecycle of a crisis with clarity and confidence.
