Meet the team –  Anna Blythe  

Anna is an Associate in the Regulatory, Compliance and Investigations team, based in our Manchester office. She has developed a strong reputation for her work in Education Law, particularly in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), and is a key figure in the team’s expanding public sector practice.

 

Education Law and SEND

Anna regularly acts for local authorities and educational institutions in SEND Tribunal matters, including contested Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) appeals and disability discrimination claims. Her deep understanding of the education sector enables her to provide advice across both contentious and non-contentious matters, including safeguarding and crisis response.

 

Crisis Response

Anna is a core contributor to the firm’s award-winning Crisis Response Service, offering clients strategic and immediate crisis management support to clients on risk management, support following health and safety incidents and fatalities, including representation through coronial proceedings, media handling and employee wellbeing.

 

Public Inquiries

In addition to her education work, Anna has significant experience advising on public inquiries, acting for a range of clients including Solicitors to the Inquiry, Core Participants and Material Providers. Her work in this space includes managing complex disclosure exercises, advising on procedural fairness, and supporting clients through high-profile, sensitive proceedings. She is a trusted advisor to public bodies and institutions navigating the demands of statutory inquiries.
