Call for evidence launched on strengthening CO2 supply chain resilience: The Department for Business and Trade and DEFRA are seeking to inform development of measures to improve the resilience, security, and sustainability of the UK’s supply of food and medical grade CO2. The consultation seeks views on how to:

- Consider the role of more sustainable sources of CO₂ that are less reliant on fossil fuels, alongside novel solutions, and substitution options, where this is feasible.
- Understand how to achieve a more transparent and functional market, with better outcomes for consumers.
- Minimise transitional costs and impacts on businesses as we seek to move towards a more resilient UK supply.
